Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Briefcaster mobile application (the "App") provided by Data Concept Studio ("we", "us", "our"). Briefcaster turns news topics, RSS feeds, and YouTube channels into short, personalized audio briefs. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content. You may not use Briefcaster to create, request, or distribute content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable. We may filter, block, or remove such content and terminate offending accounts.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Briefcaster. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
- You may sign in with email and password, Google, or Sign in with Apple.
- You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Account → Delete account), which permanently removes your feeds, sources, and generated briefs.
3. The service
Briefcaster lets you create "feeds" from topics, RSS URLs, and YouTube channels, and generates audio briefs from those sources on a schedule you choose. Features, limits, and availability may change over time. We may impose usage limits (for example, a number of briefs per period) and offer optional ways to unlock additional briefs.
4. Your content and sources
- You choose the sources. When you add an RSS URL, website, or YouTube channel, our servers fetch that content on your behalf to generate a brief. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access the sources you add.
- Acceptable use. You must not add sources or request content that is unlawful, infringing, or objectionable, or attempt to make the App access private, internal, or unauthorized systems.
- Moderation. We may filter, block, hide, or remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, to keep the service safe and compliant. The App includes a way to report a brief you find objectionable.
5. AI-generated briefs
Briefs are produced automatically using large-language-model and text-to-speech technology from the sources you select. Automatically generated summaries may contain inaccuracies or omissions and are provided for general information only. They are not professional, financial, legal, or medical advice. Verify important information with the original sources.
6. Third-party content and services
The App relies on third-party services (for example, Google Cloud, sign-in providers, and AI/text-to-speech providers) and may surface links to third-party sources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third parties. Your use of connected services (such as an optional read-only YouTube connection) is also subject to their terms.
7. Advertising
Briefcaster may offer an optional, opt-in ad-supported way to unlock additional briefs. Advertising is off by default. If enabled, ads are served by Google AdMob and are subject to your tracking choices (see our Privacy Policy).
8. Intellectual property
The App, its design, and its software are owned by Data Concept Studio and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. Source content remains the property of its respective owners.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that harms the service or other users.
10. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that briefs will be accurate or delivered at a specific time.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Data Concept Studio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use of Briefcaster after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
